Ｑ： What curriculum does CIS teach?
Ａ：CIS is accredited by the Ministry of Education of the Canadian province of Prince Edward Island. The school follows its curriculum and uses its textbooks in all grades.
Ｑ： Is CIS accredited by any other body?
Ａ：CIS is accredited by WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) and implements the PYP (Primary Years Program) in Kindergarten to Grade 6. PYP is one section of the International Baccalaureate. The school is also recognized by the Japanese Ministry of Education, allowing its graduates to apply to Japanese universities without having to write special exams.
Ｑ： Is Japanese language taught at CIS?
Ａ：CIS provides Japanese classes at several levels for students from grades 1 - 12. Grade 1 students study Japanese for 2 hours per week, generally increasing to 4 hours per week in Grade 10.
Ｑ： Is French language taught at CIS?
Ａ：No, the only language taught in addition to English, is Japanese.
Ｑ： Does CIS operate a school bus service?
Ａ：Currently there is no bus service. The majority of students travel by train; the closest station JR Osaki is a short walk from the school.
Ｑ： Does CIS provide lunch?
Ａ：CIS provides a lunch box service which is catered by a cafeteria service for those students who request it.
Ｑ： Are CIS students required to wear a school uniform?
Ａ：Yes, students in all grades wear the CIS school uniform as well as the CIS athletic uniform for P.E.
Ｑ： Does CIS provide after school activities for the students?
Ａ：A full range of activities is offered in both terms, from sports to crafts to yearbook.
Ｑ： What other services does CIS provide?
Ａ：Senior high school students can take a range of AP (Advanced Placement) courses, as well as the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test).
